Certified Shorthand Reporters v. Digital Recorders

Make sure you protect your record by only hiring a Certified Shorthand Reporter to report your depositions.  Digital Recorders are out in force and the people running these machines have no training!  Then the recording is sent out for transcription by another person with little to no training.  This practice lends itself to all kinds of problems with chain of custody, inaccuracies in the record, potential HIPAA violations, etc.
